Product Support

Our client is a software product developer who services industries having a large segment of their workforce in the field.  Some of those industries include Oil and Gas, Excavation, Construction, Heavy Highway and other similar.  In this role, the product specialist will support existing and new customers and could include training to external end users, testing of software products as well as provide ongoing support and software demos as requested.  Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Customer interaction concerning deployment of software
  • Become the SME on company software products to support and identify solutions to customer issues
  • Performs logic verification, release testing and beta support for assigned projects
  • Research problems discovered during software deployments and document in a timely manner
  • Timely and consistent follow through with customer interaction
  • Participates in development meetings
  • Drives process improvement

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidate will be vibrant, highly motivated, display a strong work ethic, and be well versed with one or more of the industries mentioned and related business processes.  He/she will also be able to rapidly identify the root cause, classify issues between procedural and/or configuration, or bugs in the software.

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or other relevant combination of training and education
  • 2+ years’ experience within one of listed industries required
  • Ability to teach how to use software product in the listed industries
  • Ability to support and interact with customer base on software issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to prepare technical step-by-step documentation
  • Ability to work on multiple assigned projects
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work effectively on a team
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Skill to accurately work with and analyze a high volume of data under limited supervision
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office required, Remote Desktop or LogMe In
  • Knowledge in job cost accounting and payroll processes is strongly desired
  • Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans
  • Uphold existing quality assurance standards and processes
  • Identify defects within software against standards
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized and detailed orientated
