The QA Technician will be responsible for ensuring that software products meet the highest standards of quality before they are released to outside users. This position will write test cases for execution by team members, as well as running tests individually.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to determine functional and non-functional test cases for new or modified applications
- Apply best practices and standard operating procedures by way of SDLC requirements and a knowledge of tracking in a SDLC Platform
- Develop documentation to facilitate the UAT process in collaboration with end users and technical team
- Design test scenarios, test cases and map requirements to enable team to assist in testing
- Develop, document and maintain functional test cases
- Compare relevant functionality between current versions and proposed updated/upgraded applications
- Improve standards by conducting systems analysis and recommending process enhancements
- Provide feedback by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing testing and service issues
- Develop testing solutions by discussing needs with users, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and processes
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will be familiar with the SDLC from design analysis to deployment. Primary qualifications will include the following:
- Proven experience as a manual tester and/or analyst in a large enterprise system
- Experience testing web applications using web frameworks and Web APIs
- Possess strong experience in database testing in Web API, Microsoft SQL Server environments including designing and manipulating test data, stored procedures, jobs, triggers and replication
- Ability to create clear and concise manual test plans from verbal and written specifications
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced with Azure Test Plans, Test Suites, Test Cases in Azure DevOps and Agile methodology
- Creative problem-solving skills
